Hera Selected for Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate to Advance AI in Male Fertility

New York, NY — April 6, 2026 — Hera, an AI-powered male fertility platform, has been selected for the Mayo Clinic Platform_Accelerate program, which helps early-stage health tech AI startups develop and scale their solutions.
Hera combines diagnostic testing with predictive analytics, including its proprietary Sperm Score, to help patients and clinicians better understand sperm health and make more informed care decisions.
By turning complex semen test results into clear, actionable recommendations, Hera aims to reduce uncertainty, shorten time to treatment, and improve outcomes for individuals and couples trying to conceive.
As part of the Platform_Accelerate program, Hera will further develop and clinically validate its AI models using high-quality patient data and expert guidance.
Male fertility remains one of the most underexplored areas in reproductive health. Although male factor infertility is estimated to contribute to approximately 40–50% of cases, it is often assessed through a single semen analysis, with limited interpretation, evolving thresholds, and little clarity on next steps.
Semen analysis has remained the primary diagnostic tool for male fertility for decades, with minimal innovation in how results are assessed. Obtaining high-quality sperm data at scale remains a significant challenge. The program will provide access to Mayo Clinic's robust datasets and clinical expertise.

This approach addresses a key gap in the current standard of care by replacing inconsistent, often subjective analysis with a more standardized, data-driven framework for decision-making.
Hera is also exploring how sperm health may serve as a biomarker of men's overall health, an area with growing research interest but limited clinical application today.
Hera is currently working with clinic partners and expanding its dataset to improve predictive performance and deliver more personalized guidance. Early traction includes 6,872 semen analysis results and 1,057 orders processed through the platform. Access to additional de-identified data through Mayo Clinic will support the continued expansion of Hera's dataset and capabilities.
